We ask you to join us in asking that God will set a new trajectory for the Perspectives Movement as He brings Coordinators and Instructors together this summer to celebrate 35 years since the classes were born and chart the course for new passion and strategies to see the Great Commission accomplished.
Pray that God will lay it on the heart of every person He would have to join us in Dallas to be actively involved in coordinating classes in his/her area. Pray that those new to Perspectives would consider taking advantage of the chance to participate in a Coordinator Workshop and then join in to hear speakers and attend workshops.
We want God to direct every effort. Check this site as needs/praises are posted to find out how you can lift up the efforts of the 56 people involved in coordinating the conference. Complete information on the conference can be found on the http://www.perspectives.org/conference08 website.

It is hard to believe that it has been 35 years since Urbana '73, when the need became apparent that something more substantial was needed for students to make quality decisions to make their lives available for missions. Since then, over 80,000 people have taken Perspectives here in the U.S., and thousands more in countries around the world. It really is hard do believe!
Now, for the first time on this scale, we are looking forward to a Perspectives National Conference. The last time an event like this took place was in 2001, when about 150 people met together in Denver. This June gathering in Dallas is the first time a Perspectives event this size has ever been planned, and I am told the Perspectives National Office does not anticipate having another one for perhaps another 5 years, if the need is evident and the Lord should tarry. It is an event that will not only look back to what the Lord has accomplished in 35 years, but also look toward the future. It will be a rare opportunity for those involved in both running and teaching Perspectives classes to gather and share insights, pray together, hear numerous reports from around the world, and be trained and equipped to move forward in the years ahead by some of the sharpest leaders involved in Perspectives.
So I encourage you to do what you can to be a part of this milestone event. I am certainly looking forward to it.
Sincerely in Christ,
Ralph Winter
A strange, but comforting paradox. We are very busy recruiting, not for the sake of making the budget. (We will definitely be over budget on this conference regardless how many attend. I think the magic number is 900. We are raising funds to cover the deficit.) Rather, we are recruiting specifically for the sake of those who are looking to remain involved in Perspectives. We know what will be taking place at this conference, who should be there, and what we believe they will get out of it. This is a much better motivation for recruiting, than trying to make the budget. Praise God for strange paradoxes like this.
